The areas include Algebraic Geometry & Topology, Differential Geometry, KAM & Dynamical systems, Geometric Topology, Semi-classic Approximation, Spectral Theory, Industrial Applied Mathematical Modelling, Mathematical Physics, Numerical Analysis, Optimization, Partial Differential Equations, and Probability Theory. Faculty, postdocs, visitors, graduate students, and undergraduates all contribute to the vibrant research community in Mathematics at Nantes University.
Mathematical Education
Our department offers a wide variety of courses and degree options in mathematics and applied mathematics at the Bachelors, Masters, and Ph.D. levels.
The pure mathematics major is flexible in order to meet your individual needs and interests. The applied mathematics major allows for a concentration in classical applied mathematics, computational mathematics, probability and statistics. Our programs can prepare you for employment in industry, government, education, and prepare you for graduate study.
