Titre : Theory and applications of reaction-diffusion equations
Reaction-diffusion equations describe numerous applications, such as flame propagation, tumour growth or competition of species in population dynamics. After a short introduction to the theory of reaction-diffusion equations, we will discuss reaction-diffusion waves in more detail. From the mathematical point of view, they represent solutions of elliptic boundary value problems in unbounded domains. The classical theory of elliptic partial differential equations will be recalled and some recent developments will be presented.
