4-manifolds with odd order fundamental groups

In my talk I will elaborate on a result of I. Hambleton and M. Kreck, which gives classification of topological 4-manifolds with finite odd order fundamental groups. In order to present the proof of this theorem I will describe the modified surgery theory invented by M. Kreck.  Modified surgery gives a very general method allowing to tackle problems of classification nature.
